Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule truck shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Communicate with drivers and customers to provide updates and resolve issues.
- Monitor and track shipments using dispatch software.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments and driver information.
- Optimize routes and loads to maximize efficiency.
- Negotiate rates with carriers.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety policies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of dispatch experience.
- Proficiency in dispatch software such as Highway, Trucker Tools, and DAT.
- Strong knowledge of DOT and carrier insurance regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
